Abstract.
Many topological fixed point theorems can be proven by obtaining continuous extensions of maps (or, in particular, of the identity map). The goal of this seminar, therefore, is to present a few extension theorems and introduce the notion of absolute extensor, and proceed to use these tools in order to obtain some famous fixed point theorems and fixed point spaces.
