Abstract.
We consider the problem on existence and uniqueness of Hermitian metrics, on a compact complex manifold, whose scalar curvature induced by the Chern connection is constant. This is approached as a question in conformal geometry; in particular, we describe the interesting role played by Gauduchon metrics (work in progress with Daniele Angella and Cristiano Spotti).
