Abstract.

The aim of the talk is to introduce colorings on right-angled polytopes: a tool which allows to build many examples of hyperbolic (but also Euclidean and spherical) manifolds. This technique does not rely on the various geometrization theorems, and is therefore a usefult instrument to build examples of hyperbolic manifolds in high (>3) dimensions. If time allows, I will show some applications of this construction. Only some familiarity with basic hyperbolic geometry is required.
