Abstract.
The aim of this seminar talk is to give a short introduction to Jacobi and Dirac-Jacobi Geometry and provide an existence proof of Normal Forms for Dirac-Jacobi bundles and Jacobi brackets using recent techniques from Bursztyn, Lima and Meinrenken. As a first application, we provide a conceptual proof of the splitting theorems of Jacobi pairs which were first proposed by Dazord,Lichnerowicz and Marle.
