I wanted to bring to your attention some job advertisements at the Mathematical Sciences Institute at the Australian National University (ANU).
There are multiple continuing positions (https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/jobs/13096). This means permanent after a probationary period.
There are also some multiple MSI fellow positions (https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/jobs/13097). These are effectively fancy 4 year postdoc positions where you do your own research program and have substantial travel money.
