The Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) invites applications for a tenure track position in all areas of Mathematics with strong preference for specialists in Dynamical Systems. Tenure will be considered during the first four years. In exceptional cases, the probationary period may be shortened or eliminated. The monthly salary will be between R$ 19.208,00 and R$ 26.306,00.

3) Research Statement
Candidates should also indicate the names and e-mail addresses of not less than 3 renowned mathematicians. These mathematicians will receive an e-mail message containing information on how to submit a recommendation letter.
The decision will be made by January, 2019. The appointee should begin his/her engagement at IMPA any time between March 1, 2019 and September 1, 2019.
