Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to work with Professor Niall MacKay during his tenure as Head of Department of Mathematics.
You should hold the equivalent of a PhD in Mathematics by the start date of your appointment. Applicants should have interests in integrable systems, quantum field theory and related algebraic structures. Consideration may also be given to candidates with interests in other areas of Professor MacKay’s work, including military operations research.
The post is initially for two years with the possibility of extension for up to two further years. Ideally the post will be taken up on 1st September 2015. The precise start date is subject to negotiation.
