A PhD position is available at the University of Liverpool, to commence at the beginning of November 2014. The position is funded by a EPSRC DTG grant.
The position is for 3 and a half years with mild teaching duties. The topic of the thesis will be related to rational curves on Chow varieties, and the candidate will work under the supervision of Vladimir Guletskii (see http://pcwww.liv.ac.uk/~guletski/. A reasonable background in algebraic geometry is required.
