CALL
Deadline: 1 August 2017 (contact PI before 23 June 2017)
Starting date: 1 November 2017

We advertise a possibility for a PhD position, starting the 1st of November 2017, in the area of COMPLEX GEOMETRY at Centre for Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces (QGM) within the Department of Mathematics at Aarhus University (Denmark).

The position is funded by the Aarhus University Research Foundation (AUFF) in the framework of the AUFF Starting Grant “Special metrics on complex manifolds, their moduli spaces and geometric formation of singularities” held by Associate Professor Cristiano Spotti.

The research project (under the supervision of Cristiano Spotti) focuses on metric aspects of complex manifolds (e.g., Kähler geometry, canonical metrics) and their relations with complex analytic and algebraic aspects (e.g., degenerations of varieties, formations of singularities).

Application procedure
Interested applicants should contact the PI (c.spotti(AT)qgm.au.dk) approximately before the 23rd of June 2017. The application is via the Science and Technology PhD program of Aarhus University.
