A 3-year postdoctoral position is available at Leibniz Universitaet Hannover.
The position is funded by the DFG-grant "Asymptotic geometry of moduli spaces of curves" which is concerned with differential-geometric properties of Hilbert schemes of curves in complex 3-folds. The aims include finding new examples of (geodesically) complete hyperkaehler manifolds and the study of the asymptotic geometry and geometric compactifications of known examples such as moduli spaces of magnetic monopoles and of Higgs bundles.
The successful candidate for the position will have expertise in deformation theory, in particular Hilbert schemes of curves.
