PhD in Algebraic Geometry in Loughborough

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship at the University of Loughborough to work on a project with title "positivity questions in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra". The studentship will start in October 2017.

The Algebraic Geometry group at Loughborough consists of three permanent members, H. Ahmadinezhad, E. Postinghel and A. Prendergast-Smith and it is part of the Geometry and Mathematical Physics group http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/maths/research/groups/geometry-mathematical-physics/. Students will benefit from seminars organised in Loughborough and in the neighbouring Universities (Nottingham, Sheffield, Warwick, London) as well as the East Midlands Seminar in Geometry http://magma.maths.usyd.edu.au/~kasprzyk/seminars/emsg.html.
