The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science,
Technology
and Communication (Mathematics Research Unit, research groups of Hugo
Parlier
and Jean-Marc Schlenker) for three
Research Associates (postdocs) in Mathematics (Geometry)
2 year fixed-term contract, with possibility of extension to a third year on one of the positions, 40 hours/week. Starting Sept 1, 2017, or later.
Work within the Mathematics Research Unit in the domain of representations of surface or hyperbolic groups, Hitchin or Anosov representations, higher Teichmüller theory, geometric structures on low-dimensional manifolds, metric and combinatorial considerations on moduli type spaces and the geometry of the mapping class group.

Recent PhD (not dating back more than 5 years) of high quality and outstanding potential in research. Research experience on one of the topics mentioned above. Very good written and oral skills in English. Some knowledge of French or German is helpful, but not required.
