The research group Algebra & Topology at Radboud University Nijmegen advertises a position for a PhD candidate in arithmetic geometry under the joint supervision of Ben Moonen and Arne Smeets.
This is a four year position with excellent salary and very mild teaching duties. The starting date is negotiable: February 1st, 2017 at the earliest, and September 1st, 2017 at the latest.
The ideal applicant holds (or will soon hold) a Master's degree (or equivalent) in pure mathematics with excellent grades, including some courses in algebraic geometry and number theory, and a master's project in algebraic or arithmetic geometry.
