At the IMAG department of Montpellier they are opening a position of Maitre
de Conferences (assistant/associate professor) in arithmetic and algebraic
geometry. The department is mainly seeking strong candidates in the
following topics:
-algebraic geometry,
-representation theory of algebraic groups,
-arithmetic geometry and its connections with algebraic geometry or
representation theory.
The starting salary depends on the experience of the chosen candidate, a junior candidate can expect inside the range 30-35k euros. The winning candidate is expected to teach at all levels both to mathematics students and students from other affine disciplines at the faculty of Sciences or Engineering.
The deadline for the submission of applications is March the 30th and applications are open from February the 25th.
