There are PhD student and post-doctoral positions advertised in algebraic geometry at IST Austria.
The Hausel group at IST Austria advertises for post-doctoral positions starting September 2016. The positions will be partially funded by the ERC advanced grant "Arithmetic and physics of Higgs moduli spaces" and we are looking for applicants with research interests in geometry and its interfaces. The positions are available up to four years and come with competitive salary and research support. There are no teaching duties, although participating in graduate teaching is possible. The group normally runs a two-hour geometry seminar with outside speakers and a working seminar with internal speakers, often on a particular research topic (http://geom.epfl.ch/seminars).
IST Austria is a young PhD granting research institute in the basic natural sciences, located at a newly built campus in the outskirts of Vienna. The official language of the Institute is English.
