The Hamilton Mathematics Institute TCD (HMI) invites applications for Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship in pure mathematics, starting in Summer/Fall 2025. Positions are usually for two years, with the possibility of an extension to three years. The position is funded by the Targeted Grants to Institutes from the Simons Foundation. The Hamilton Mathematics Institute (HMI) at Trinity College Dublin was founded in 2005, marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of William Rowan Hamilton - Ireland's greatest mathematician. The HMI's mission is to position Ireland as a centre of excellence for mathematical research.

Please also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be written on your behalf. Referees should upload the letters following your application before the deadline of December 1, 2024. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong research record in the fields represented in the School of Mathematics and the Hamilton Mathematics Institute: Algebraic Geometry, Real Algebraic Geometry, Complex or Symplectic Geometry, Low Dimensional Topology, Hyperbolic Geometry, Several Complex Variables, Complex analysis, Partial Differential Equations.
