Dear all,

I would like to inform that we have a tenure-track position for female researchers at our University (UTFSM, Chile) with deadline February 25, 2024. You can find more details about the position at the following link (in Spanish): https://vra.usm.cl/ofertas-laborales/academica-matematica-cssj/

I have also created a (non-official!) webpage that provides additional information and tips for geometers interested in applying: http://pmontero.mat.utfsm.cl/santiago_2024_eng.html

The typical teaching workload for this position is 112 hours per year, and we are looking for candidates (ideally) with at least basic to intermediate proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.

The expected net salary (adjusted according to academic evaluation) usually ranges between €37,000 and €47,000 per year, based on the current exchange rate. Additionally, the university offers daily free lunch and provides startup funding to support the candidate's research during the first year of the tenure-track.

Furthermore, many funding projects in Chile offer additional salary benefits for academics, and incentives can be obtained through excellence in research and teaching.

If you have any questions regarding UTFSM, practical information about the job, the cities, or the application process itself, please feel free to contact me directly.

Kind regards, Pedro Montero
