I am advertising a 4-year PhD position in Differential Topology and Geometry in Utrecht University (Netherlands), to start no later than September 2024.
The research project will deal with the classification of geometric structures up to homotopy. More concretely, it will focus on the use of h-principle techniques to classify tangent distributions (although there is room to adapt the concrete goals to the taste of the PhD candidate).
The math department in Utrecht is very nice and lively. A list of members can be found here: https://utrechtgeometrycentre.nl/members/. The candidate will interact mostly with our Algebraic Topology and Differential Geometry groups.
