created by bazzoni on 20 Feb 2023

Deadline: 1 may 2023

The Mathematics Department of UNED - Madrid announces the opening of at least one visiting doctoral position to work on the research project Supersymmetric evolution flows and their applications to differentiable geometry of the Maria Zambrano Fellow Carlos Shahbazi. This research project, funded by a Leonardo-BBVA grant, is devoted to studying various differential-geometric problems inspired by the mathematical structure of supergravity, in particular, its supersymmetric Cauchy problem and associated evolution flows.

Eligible candidates will be doctoral students in mathematics or theoretical physics officially enrolled in a doctorate program.

Preferred candidates will have a strong background in spin geometry, differential topology, analysis, or supergravity.

Visits may range from two to five months, depending on funding and the personal situation of the selected applicants.

The selected applicants will receive a monthly installment of around 1150 euros, to be added to their existing Ph.D. grant salary.

Financial aid will be provided to cover the travel costs of the selected candidates to Madrid.

Interested candidates should send their CVs together with a short cover letter explaining their interest in working on the aforementioned research project to cshahbazi@mat.uned.es before the 1st of May 2023.
