the University of Freiburg/Germany invites applications for a Full Professorship (W3) in Pure Mathematics.
The department is looking for an internationally established researcher who is expected to represent the field of geometry in research and teaching, with research focussing on a modern area of geometry, such as differential geometry, global or geometric analysis, complex geometry, or topology of manifolds.
Collaboration with the existing research groups in pure mathematics and participation in joint third-party funded projects is desired. The new professor will be expected to take an appropriate share in the general teaching obligations as well as in academic self-governance.
