The IBS Center for Complex Geometry research positions

The IBS Center for Complex Geometry in Daejeon, Korea invites applications for research fellowship positions.

Center for Complex Geometry is a new research center which has started on September 1, 2020 at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS). It is located at the IBS headquarters in Daejeon, South Korea, a city of 1.5 million people. Its main research area covers complex algebraic geometry, complex differential geometry, analysis of several complex variables and their interactions with other areas of mathematical sciences.

We plan to hire researchers in the following two categories.

1. Senior researchers: Successful candidates are expected to have research experience for 5 years or more after their Ph. D.’s in algebraic geometry, complex geometry or related areas. The appointment is initially for three years and can be extended for two more years after reviews of the research performance. The starting salary is no less than KRW 60,000,000.

2. Postdoctoral research associates: Successful candidates should be recent Ph. D.’s in algebraic geometry, complex geometry or related areas with strong research potential. The appointment is initially for two years and can be extended for one more year after reviews of the research performance. The starting salary is no less than KRW 50,000,000.
