I am looking to recruit a Research Fellow on an Alan Turing Institute funded pilot project 'Automatic detection of genetic oscillators'. The aim is to combine new high-throughout single-cell profiling with advances in topological data analysis and network modelling to identify combinations of genes that oscillate in a coordinated way. I am looking for candidates with a PhD in Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Physics or related field, with a background and/or interest in applied topology, networks and discrete mathematics.

The position is full time for a fixed term of 12 months, although the aim of this Pilot Project is to lead to proposals for further funding. The starting date is 01/01/2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. The full advert can be found at https://jobs.soton.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=1218219PJ and informal enquiries can be made to me via email R.Sanchez-Garcia(AT)soton.ac.uk
