Postdoctorial Research Associate
Leverhulme Trust Research Grant
Constructive approximation theory on and inside algebraic curves and surfaces

Closing date: 18 October 2019

The purpose of this grant is to introduce the theory of orthogonal polynomials related to algebraic curves and surfaces, with the aim of numerically solving partial differential equations and free boundary problems on complicated geometries. This is an exciting new research area at the intersection of algebraic geometry, numerical analysis, partial differential equations, and approximation theory, with plenty of opportunity to develop ground-breaking results.
