Postdoctoral position in Mathematics
The Partial Differential Equations Group at the University of Potsdam invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of Geometric Analysis.
Candidates should have a Phd in Mathematics and research expertise related to geometric variational problems, parabolic flows, mathematical relativity or a strongly related field.
The succesfull applicant will have the opportunity to do independent research in the context of the research of the group. The duties also include a teaching load of 4 hours per week during the semester and administrative tasks in the organization of the research group.
The application should comprise a CV, a publication list, and a research summary. Applicants should also name three potential referees who may be contacted seperately. Applications will have to be sent by 30.09.2019 for full consideration. The interviews are expected to be held in November 2019.
The position is initially limited to three years and can be extended for up to six years. The salary will be paid according to the German public service scale E13 (TV-L Ost). The expected starting date is 01.04.2020, but earlier starting dates can be negotiated.
