Simon Fraser University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in algebraic geometry starting July 1, 2020. Candidates should have developed a successful research program in algebraic geometry or a closely related area. Demonstrated success in developing and applying methods of algebraic geometry to solve problems in areas such as algebraic statistics, mathematical biology, machine learning, and big data is particularly welcome. SFU is a major public research university located near Vancouver, Canada.
