Dear all,
Together with Ilaria Mondello and Hugues Auvray, we organize a one-day meeting, Geometry : exchanges and perspectives, on May 16th at Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu, Sorbonne Université (Room 1516-1-01).
We will have two expository talks of 1h30:
Samuel Tapie (Université de Nantes): Geodesic dynamics and Laplace spectrum in negative curvature.
Jason Lotay (University of Oxford): Lagrangian mean curvature flow.
and a one-hour research talk :
Heather MacBeth (École Normale supérieure) : TBA
The goal of the two expository talks is to present in a didactic way a research subject, its tools and basic techniques, for a large public of geometers. A large time will be devoted to questions and discussions. We encourage you to spread this announcement to Ph.D students and postdocs.
