Dear Colleagues,
The ICMAT-Institute of Mathematical Sciences is organising the first BYMAT conference – “Bringing Young Mathematicians Together”, which will take place from 7th to 9th May 2018 at ICMAT in Madrid, Spain. By gathering PhD, master and advanced bachelor students in mathematics and related areas, the conference aims to give participants a unique opportunity to interact and share their work in a welcoming environment.
The conference will feature five plenary talks about some of the most relevant topics in current mathematical research, given by postdocs and young professors; short talks for participants to present their work; and a roundtable to discuss career options after a PhD in maths. It will also include workshops on project design and communication for both industry and academia.
Registration is open until 23 April. All participants are encouraged to contribute a short talk. The call for abstracts is open until 16 April.
