Dear colleagues,
it is a pleasure to announce the second Chow Lectures which will take place in Leipzig, Germany, on
November 5-7, 2018.
Our main speaker is Peter Scholze who will deliver a short series of lectures entitled "Numbers and Geometry" aiming at graduate student level. These will be complemented by introductory activities.
This lecture series is named after Wei-Liang Chow, the celebrated mathematician who received his doctoral degree at Leipzig in 1936. The event is sponsored by the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences.
We expect to have limited funding for early-career mathematicians. More information will be made available on the website

We kindly ask you to forward this announcement to anyone you think might be interested.
Yours sincerely,
Christian Lehn, Mateusz MichaĆek, and Bernd Sturmfels.
