6 jul 2015 - 12 jul 2015

Department of Mathematics of Northwestern University

This Summer School in Geometric Analysis is part of the Emphasis Year in Geometric Analysis at Northwestern University, 2014-15, and will feature six speakers who will give introductory lecture mini-courses, aimed at graduate students and recent PhDs, in various topics in geometric analysis.

Date, Time and Location

The Summer School in Geometric Analysis will be held at the Department of Mathematics of Northwestern University from Monday, July 6, 2015 to Sunday, July 12, 2015. The lectures will be held in TBA. For directions on how to get to TBA, here is a map.

Registration starts at 10:00am Monday morning. The first talk will be at 11:00am and the last talk will finish by 1.00pm on Sunday, to allow for travel.

Graduate students, fresh Ph.D.s and under-represented minorities are especially encouraged to participate. Partial financial support is available.

The Workshop is supported by the Mathematics Department at Northwestern University and by the NSF (grant pending)

Mini-courses

Esther Cabezas-Rivas (Frankfurt), Mean Curvature Flow
Brett Kotschwar (Arizona State University), Introduction to the Ricci flow
Aaron Naber (Northwestern), Ricci curvature
Valentino Tosatti (Northwestern), The Kähler-Ricci flow
Ben Weinkove (Northwestern), The complex Monge-Ampère equation
Steve Zelditch (Northwestern), Geodesics in the space of Kähler metrics

Registration

Participants will be asked to register online: the electronic registration form is not available yet.

The Workshop will provide breakfast and refreshments for all participants.

Financial Support

The Workshop on Ricci Curvature is supported by the Mathematics Department at Northwestern University and by a grant from the NSF (pending). Priority for support will be given to graduate students, recent PhD's and members of under-represented groups.
