The first Chow Lectures will take place in Leipzig, Germany, from May 22nd until May 24th 2017.
This event is sponsored jointly by the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Sciences. This is a new lecture series named after Wei-Liang Chow, the celebrated mathematician who received his doctoral degree at Leipzig in 1936.
Claire Voisin will deliver a short series of lectures aiming at graduate student level. There will be introductory activities organized by PhD students.
We expect to have limited funding for early-career mathematicians. More information will be made available on the website http://www.mis.mpg.de/chow.
