"School on Deformation Theory"
University of Turin
July 5-8, 2017

The school is aimed at PhD students, advanced master students and postdocs.
There will be the following three courses:
- Toric deformations, Klaus Altmann (Freie Universität, Berlin),
- Obstructions to formality, Manfred Lehn (Johannes Gutenberg Universität,
Mainz),
- Homotopy theory of DG Lie algebras and formality criteria, Marco Manetti
(Università Sapienza, Roma)
and some talks on related topics hold by:
- Donatella Iacono (Università di Bari),
- Lars Kastner (Freie Universität, Berlin),
- Ziyu Zhang (Leibniz Universität, Hanover).
Informal discussions will be strongly encouraged and specific time slots will be reserved for this. There might be short talks of young participants on related topics, that will be organised during the school.
For organisational reasons, all participants should register by sending an email to deformations2017 (AT) gmail.com, specifying name, affiliation and if they intend to participate at the social dinner on Friday evening.
Participation of PhD students is especially welcome. There might be limited
funds to cover some expenses of young participants. Let us know if you
need funding by sending an email to
deformations2017 (AT) gmail.com with the following information:
- name and affiliation;
- current position held;
- a short CV, including a few lines on your research interests (max 2
pages);
- if you would like to give a short talk during the school;
- an outline of your budget and an indication of the amount requested.
The deadline for funding request is: March 31st 2017
