Welcome to the VI Workshop on Differential Geometry. This is the fifth meeting in this series and is intended to promote the discussion of problems in differential geometry and its many applications. The subjects to be covered in this conference include Submanifolds and holonomy, Riemannian homogeneous geometry and Lie groups, complex and hypercomplex geometric structures, geometric flows and solitons, sub-Riemannian geometry as well as symplectic geometry and hamiltonian mechanics. It is expected that this meeting may serve as a stimulus to promote the comunication among researchers and students interested in differential geometry and its applications.
