The International Research Training Group "Moduli and automorphic forms" (Berlin-Amsterdam-Leiden) and the Renyi Institute of Mathematics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, are pleased to announce a summer school "Recent developments in algebraic and arithmetic geometry" to be held in Budapest between August 25-30, 2014.
The school will mainly consist of four series of lectures:
Francois Charles (Orsay): Zarhin's trick for K3 surfaces and the Tate conjecture
Gaetan Chenevier (Ecole Polytechnique, Paris) An introduction to level 1 automorphic forms
Duco van Straten (Mainz): Calabi-Yau Motives and Differential Equations
Angelo Vistoli (Scuola Normale Superiore Pisa): The Nori fundamental group scheme
