WAGP2015 - Workshop on Algebraic Geometry and Physics Moduli spaces in algebraic geometry and mathematical physics

September 14 to 18, 2015
Chern Institute of Mathematics, Nankai University, Tianjin, China

Supported by the Chern Institute, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Foundation Compositio and SISSA

Over the last 30 years there have been remarkable instances where physical theories have provided a formidable input to mathematicians, offering the stimulus to the creation of new mathematical theories, and supplying strong evidence for highly nontrivial mathematical results. Some of the most notable examples of this kind of interaction between mathematics and physics can be found in the theory of moduli spaces. This workshop aims at assessing the state of the art on various aspects of moduli spaces, their enumerative invariants and their rich relations with quantum field and string theories.
