Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the Segundo Encuentro Colombiano de Geometría y Topología (ECOGyT) (Second Colombian Geometry and Topology Meeting). The event will take place at Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, from August 3rd to August 14th, 2026.
The first week (August 3 - August 7) will consist of a series of introductory mini-courses (in Spanish) aimed at graduate and advanced undergraduate students. The second week (August 10 - August 14) will consist of a research conference featuring plenary and contributed talks (in English) covering a broad range of topics in geometry and topology.
We anticipate offering financial support to a number of students and early-career researchers.
This meeting continues what we intend to establish as a biennial event that brings together students, professors, and researchers from around the world interested in geometry and topology (broadly construed) in a city of Colombia. The inaugural conference, held in Bogotá in 2024, was highly stimulating and well attended.
