Dear Colleagues,

This is the first announcement for the Summer School "Geometry of instantons and quivers", taking place at the University of Lille from June 22 to June 26, 2026. This Summer school is aimed primarily at PhD students and early-career researchers with an interest in algebraic geometry and mathematical physics. More precisely, this school will focus on moduli spaces of specific vector bundles—particularly instantons—as well as quiver varieties, cluster varieties, and the rich mathematical and physical connections that link these structures.

The program will feature four mini-courses (each consisting of four one-hour lectures), with two primarily focused on algebraic geometry and two oriented towards mathematical physics, delivered by the following speakers:

Hülya Argüz (University of Oxford, UK) Pierrick Bousseau (University of Oxford, UK) Daniele Faenzi (Université Bourgogne Europe, Dijon) Taro Kimura (Université Bourgogne Europe, Dijon)

In addition, we will host 8-9 short research talks from participants, providing an opportunity for young researchers to present their work.

Registration and Practical Information: If you would like us to arrange hotel accommodation for you (at our expense) from Monday to Friday, please indicate this during registration. The number of participants is limited, and we encourage early registration (deadline: 28th, February) .

More details, including the registration form, are available (or will be available) on the website: https://www.mathconf.org/giq2026

We look forward to welcoming you to Lille for this Summer School!

Cheers,

Ronan Terpereau (on behalf of the organizers)

Speakers: Hülya Argüz, Pierrick Bousseau, Daniele Faenzi, Taro Kimura.
