Dear colleagues,
We are happy to announce you the seventeenth edition of the International ICMAT Summer School on Geometry, Dynamics and Field Theory that will be held at Miraflores de la Sierra in Madrid, Spain, June 23-27, 2025. Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, June 22, and depart on Friday, June 27.
The school is oriented to young researchers, Ph.D. and postdoctoral students in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering, in particular those interested in focusing their research on geometry, mathematical physics and numerical integrators. It is intended to present an up-to-date view of some fundamental issues in these topics and bring to the participants attention some open problems, in particular problems related to applications.
The courses this year are:
- David Martínez Torres (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain) Course title: Geometry associated to compact group representations.
- Juan Margalef (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain) Course title: At the Boundary of Covariant Phase Space: New Insights into Field Theories.
- Sebastián Ferraro (Universidad de Bahía Blanca, Argentina) Course title: From paper to silicon: coding numerical simulations effectively.

Important dates:
Application for scholarship no later than May 15, 2025. Abstract submission for short talk or poster no later than May 15, 2025. Registration no later than June 1, 2025.
A limited number of scholarships are available for partially covering the accommodation or maybe travel expenses. If you are applying for scholarship please send a copy of your CV and a recommendation letter to summerschoolgmc@icmat.es

The registration is free.
There are shared-rooms in the conference venue for the participants. However, to confirm the booking you first need to send us your flight ticket and proof of payment. The cost for the full stay (5 nights, all meals included) is 460 euros. This amount must be paid by credit card on the residence.
