Dear all,
This is the last announcement for the conference Birational Complexity of Algebraic Varieties to be held at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics in Stony Brook, from December 12 - 16th 2022, and the RTG/SCGP Graduate Workshop on the same topic taking place the week before. The deadline to apply is September 19th. The list of speakers for the conference includes:

The Graduate workshop will revolve around four series of lectures:
Olivier Debarre on rationality problems;
John Ottem on curves in algebraic varieties;
Julia Schneider on the Cremona group; and
Brooke Ullery and Ruijie Yang on measures of irrationality.
We would appreciate it if you could share this and encourage interested Ph.D. students to apply for the workshop! Application/Registration is open until September 19th. There is limited funding to support traveling and housing. For more information please visit the website.
